Amanda Cole
Amanda Cole is a dedicated therapist currently completing her dual Master of Science degrees in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling at Walden University, with an expected graduation in May 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Communication Disorders and Spanish from Elmhurst University.
Amanda brings a wealth of experience from her work in various settings, including community mental health organizations, non-profit sectors, in-home counseling, private ABA clinics, and crisis intervention services. She has a strong background in working with neurodivergent individuals, from young children to adults, both in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and individual counseling.
Amanda is proficient in a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her passion lies in advocating for her clients, helping them achieve emotional wellness through personalized therapy, unwavering support, and meaningful connections.
Inspired by her family’s legacy in the therapy field, Amanda is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families during their most challenging times.
Amanda grew up in McHenry, IL, where she continues to live. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading on her Kindle, diamond painting, and watching drama TV shows. When the weather is nice, she loves hiking and biking. Amanda also cherishes time spent with her two dogs, Lily, a two-year-old Maltipoo, and Zoey, an eleven-year-old Shipoo.
