Emily Schueneman MA

Emily received her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in June 2024 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate.  She has previously worked with teens and adults in both social service agency and hospital settings providing group therapy and administering diagnostic assessments. Emily developed a deep passion for the field after witnessing the challenges friends and family faced in finding the mental health support they desired. She aspires to change this pattern and create an environment where every client feels truly seen, heard, and supported.

Emily enjoys working with teens and adults who struggle with emotional regulation, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, and traumatic experiences. Her therapy style involves a blend of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy and client-centered approaches. Emily’s sessions focus on meeting clients where they’re at while also exploring deeper roots of their challenges to facilitate meaningful change. She utilizes an open and empathetic approach to support clients on their journey to becoming their best selves.

Outside of the office, Emily enjoys experimenting with cooking, keeping up with the latest rock album releases, and hanging out with her dog, Buster. She also enjoys reading mystery/fantasy novels and binge-watching tv shows (currently obsessed with: the Throne of Glass series (book), American Horror Story (TV), and Ginny & Georgia (TV).

She looks forward to helping you reach your goals!
