Melissa Folk-Jednoroz, PsyD, LCP
Dr. Melissa Folk Jednoroz, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 17 years of experience in the behavioral health field, including six years in private practice. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Schaumburg, IL, in 2009 and has been licensed in Illinois since 2013. In October 2017, she founded FJ Psychological Services with a mission to empower individuals to improve their own lives and the lives of others.
Melissa has extensive training and experience in autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and behavioral modification and advocacy in educational settings. She offers services in individual, marriage, family, couples, and group settings, working with clients of all ages. Melissa approaches each session as a unique opportunity to foster self-awareness and resilience, believing deeply in the innate goodness and growth potential within each person.
To further her expertise, Melissa completed an 8-course sequence in applied behavior analysis at Southern Illinois University around 2016 and is currently in her second year of a Master’s program in Clinical Psychopharmacology at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Beyond her professional work, Melissa enjoys spending quality time with her family, which includes her husband, Paul, and their four children—an 11-year-old son, an 8-year-old daughter, and 6-year-old twins. She also loves training and spending time with her therapy dog, Georgie, who brings joy and comfort to clients. Melissa finds happiness in helping others make the best choices and meet life’s challenges with confidence.
