    Melissa Folk-Jednoroz, PsyD, LCP

    Melissa received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Schaumburg, IL in 2009. She is a Licensed Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) for the state of Illinois since 2013. Melissa has 17 years of experience working in the behavioral health field, with 6 years working in private practice. She founded FJ Psychological Services in October of 2017 with the purpose of helping empower others to improve their lives and the lives of others.

    Melissa has extensive training and experience working with issues related to autism, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, behavioral modification and advocacy in educational settings. She offers services in individual, marriage, family, couples, and group settings. She works with any age group and cares deeply for her clients.

    Melissa believes that therapy is a place to feel and believes strongly in the innate goodness and desire to improve oneself. She approaches each session as a new and unique situation. She is client centered, compassionate, and driven to facilitate ones awareness of self and their ability to overcome. Melissa is married to Paul and they have 4 children (8 year old son, 5 year old daughter and 3 year old twins)! She enjoys spending time with her family, movies, reading, and going to dinner. Overall she is most happy and passionate about assisting others to make the best choices, meet life struggles with motivation, improve life functioning and meet life goals in order to be as happy and productive as one can and desires to be!
