About Autism
Autism is a neurobehavioral disorder with four distinct autism diagnoses, all, enveloping a spectrum of symptoms and impairments that range in severity. Autism is characterized by difficulty in communicating and interacting with others, and obsessive or repetitive behavior. Depending on how a child is communicating and interacting, autism diagnoses can start as young as two years old. It’s also not uncommon for adults to seek diagnosis if they notice symptoms in themselves or their children.
Behavioral Therapy
Our focus when working with autistic clients is to increase the quality of life, whatever that might look like for each individual. We use components of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), but most of our work emphasizes the acceptance and celebration of autism. Behavioral interventions are used to achieve self-determined goals and improve social skills.
Feeding Therapy
Feeding therapy is a targeted intervention designed to support children in mastering fundamental eating skills and diversifying their dietary preferences. Our Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, Jessica Davis, is certified in feeding therapy through the Pediatric Feeding Institute. Utilizing the TR-eat model (Transdisciplinary Effective Assessment and Treatment), Jessica is equipped to help your child tackle any eating challenges they may experience.
