Sara Forster LCSW

Sara is a licensed clinical social worker(LCSW)  and a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC) who graduated with her masters program in 2020 but has expierence working in the field since 2014 with a focus on advocating, educating, learning resources, and being a part of the day-to-day lives of those who are struggling. 

Sara has experience and knowledge working with individuals who live with depression, anxiety, personality/mood disorders, schizophrenia, dissociative disorders, PTSD, substance use disorder, suicide and self harm, LGBTQ, and grief. Sara has an education in evidence based therapies, such as but not limited to: CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma informed therapy, harm-reduction, and animal assisted therapy. She offers services in individual therapy as young as 12 years old and older.

Her dog, Serj, was certified in 2024 as a Therapy dog and since then has incorporated animal assisted Therapy into sessions. 

Sara acknowledges the uncertainty that comes with starting therapy. She urges clients to not let fear stop them from getting the help they deserve.Sara has a deep understanding for those in need, for the unheard or forgotten, and those struggling to ask for help. She helps provide a voice to those individuals, building on skills to live a satisfying and full life, instead of surviving it, and allowing individuals the chance to see beyond their mental health.
