A New Approach to Treating Depression

At FJ Psychological Services, we understand that depression can feel overwhelming, especially when traditional treatments haven't provided relief. Spravato® (esketamine) nasal spray is an FDA-approved treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and major depressive disorder (MDD) with acute suicidal thoughts. This innovative therapy works differently from traditional antidepressants, offering new hope to those struggling with severe depression.

Spravato® is administered in our office under the supervision of trained professionals, ensuring a safe and supportive experience. If you or a loved one has been searching for alternative depression treatment options, we’re here to help.

What is Spravato®?

Spravato® (esketamine) is a prescription nasal spray designed to work differently from standard antidepressants. Unlike oral medications that target serotonin and other neurotransmitters, Spravato® acts on the NMDA receptor, helping restore brain function and rapidly reducing symptoms of depression.

This treatment is administered in-office under medical supervision and is used alongside an oral antidepressant to enhance its effectiveness.

Who Can Benefit from Spravato®?

Spravato® may be an option for adults who have not found relief with at least two different antidepressants or those experiencing severe depressive symptoms with suicidal thoughts.

You may be a candidate for Spravato® if

:✔ You have been diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression (TRD)

✔ You have major depressive disorder (MDD) with acute suicidal ideation or behavior

✔ You have tried at least two different antidepressants without significant improvement

Not sure if you qualify? Our team can conduct an evaluation to determine whether Spravato® is right for you.
